POST /v1/agents/{agent_id}/workflow/publish

Make an agent’s draft workflow live as a new version, with a note.

Publishes the draft as a new, numbered version and makes it live. Published versions never change; conversations already under way carry on, and new ones follow the new version. Nothing broken may be left in the draft’s checks.

Needs the agents:write scope.

Request

cURL

curl -X POST "https://api.fireflo.au/v1/agents/12/workflow/publish" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OMNI_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "revision": 19,
    "note": "Hand refund questions to the team after hours"
  }'

Response

201 Created — the new version, now live. A version has its number, the note it was published with, who published it (by; null when published through the API), when (at), how many blocks it has and how many call the AI (ai_blocks), and whether it is the live one.

{
  "number": 4,
  "note": "Hand refund questions to the team after hours",
  "by": null,
  "at": "2026-10-06T10:04:17+05:30",
  "blocks": 4,
  "ai_blocks": 1,
  "live": true,
  "running": 0
}

Errors

Every refusal is {"error": {"code", "message", "field"}}; field is there when one input is at fault.

Status	Error code	When
400	invalid_request	revision isn’t a whole number, or note isn’t text or is over 200 characters; field names it.
404	not_found	No agent of this account’s has that id.
409	revision_conflict	Someone saved the workflow since you read it.
409	invalid_state	There’s no note, or something in the draft is broken.
404	module_off	The account doesn’t have AI agents on: they aren’t in its plan, or are switched off for it.
403	scope_missing	The key doesn’t have the agents:write scope.

Any request can also be refused for its key, its account or its rate (key_required, invalid_key, account_suspended, plan_excludes_api, address_not_allowed, rate_limited); see the overview.
